For your modern identification requirements, we offer you a range of different barcode scanners with which you can capture all common 1- and 2-dimensional barcodes. Our scanners are characterized by high reliability, excellent technical features and an optimal price/performance ratio.

With the 1-dimensinal barcode, the information is displayed from left to right (i.e. along the X axis). The bars and the spacing of these barcodes (depending on the barcode type) stand for certain letters or numbers and special characters. The content of such a barcode is very often displayed as so-called "plain text" below the barcode. Typical 1-dimensional barcodes are for example the EAN 13 for goods identification.

The 2-dimensional barcode additionally uses the representation along the Y-axis (i.e. from bottom to top). The representation in this case is not with bars, but in the form of small stacked rectangles. In this way, a large amount of information can be accommodated in a relatively small area, which allows great flexibility and reading reliability at low cost.

The best-known 2-dimensional barcode is the QR code.

For the reading of 2-dimensional barcodes, special scanners are required, which capture the image of the barcode as a whole and decode it with the help of an image processing program.
